Methodological principles of transit traffic formalization

Бесплатный доступ

The methodological bases for the integration of transit traffic are developed by creating transit terminals in the transport system of the region. They ensure the reduction of unproductive runs of transit transport taking into account the irregularity of freight traffic in the areas and regions of destination. An abstract model of the transport system in a conditional region is considered as an example. The transit traffic is organized between four terminals across the region. The transit communication is divided into “incoming” and “outgoing” depending on the direction. The terminals of different levels are considered as freight forwarder and receiver. Potential, actual and excess traffic capacities of the transport system are examined to characterize the efficiency of transit transport. When creating a model of transit traffic across the region methodological principles of its implementation are specified: principle of vehicle return, minimization of empty runs, and maximum use of a freight-carrying capacity of the vehicle. The technique of calculating the “incoming” and “outgoing” traffic volumes is provided. The freight capacities of the transport system are determined taking into the consideration the traffic volume. The integration of multidirectional in the context of maximum capacity of transit traffic ensures the reduction of irregularity of transit transportation volumes in all directions, the reduction of potential and excessive transit transport opportunities of transport systems and empty runs of transit transport.
