The article presents methodological recommendations for learning how to solve equations with parameters in the article. Students should understand that when solving an equation with a parameter, various solution methods can be used. It is useful to use the technology of step-by-step formation of M.B. Volovich's mental actions; complete each type of equations with tasks using a parameter; it is necessary to use various forms, methods and means of teaching. The main types of tasks in the unified state exam in the mathematics course of a secondary school on the topic "Equations with parameters" are highlighted.
