Developed guidelines for assessing the scientific and technical potential of the rural municipality. An algorithm for the application of methods for assessing the scientific and technical potential of a municipal area is proposed. The analysis of the use of industrial production technologies in municipal areas of the Altai Territory. Conclusions about the benefits of practical application of the methodology for assessing the scientific and technical potential of a rural municipality are made.
