In this article, based on the analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature, a methodological substantiation of the problem of formation of expressive reading in primary school age is carried out. In the course of the research, the author of the article substantiates the role of reading in the development of schoolchildren, and also describes the main methodological methods for forming the skill of expressive reading in primary school children.
