Methodological support for developing professional competence of educators in adapting and socializing students from migrant families

The research problem and the rationale for its relevance. The arrival of new students who are children of migrants has become one of the key challenges for the modern general education system. Their specific characteristics, including legal status and differences in educational backgrounds, create additional difficulties for integration into the educational process. Consequently, the importance of training teachers who can effectively address these challenges is increasing. The research problem lies in the insufficient competence of educational professionals to identify and implement measures for the socio-cultural adaptation and socialization of students from migrant families within the modern educational organization. Thus, the goal of this research was the scientific substantiation and development of a program of measures focused on enhancing the professional competencies of teachers in the field of adapting schoolchildren from migrant families. Methodology (Materials and Methods) The methodological foundation was based on the systems approach and competency-based approach, which form the basis of the professional development system. Research methods included: analysis of scientific sources, study of pedagogical practices, observation, and pedagogical modeling. The study analyzed formal and informal formats of professional development for educators aimed at fostering competencies for adapting students from migrant families. Results Key areas of methodological support for teachers were identified, aimed at addressing shortcomings in professional training regarding the implementation of socio-cultural adaptation and successful socialization processes for students from migrant families in modern educational institutions. The findings of the study contribute to a deeper understanding of the educational institution's role in working with such students. The developed methodology can diversify methodological work in supporting the socio-cultural adaptation and socialization of students from migrant families in the contemporary educational organization. The research confirms the necessity of the proposed system of measures for developing the competence of educational professionals and demonstrates their practical significance for the system of supplementary professional education for teachers.
