The article presents results of the experimental research concerned with development and testing of the methodology of the reasoning speech formation of the senior pre-school age children with general speech underdevelopment of the third level. The developed methodology is of the stage-by-stage nature and supposes application of various methods and modes, such as: didactic games and exercises, models of text structure, problem situations, etc. The methods and modes allow formation of not only lexico-grammatical skills and compositional layout of the reasoning speech, but also development of the mental processes: perception, memory and thinking. The results of the experiment carried out under the research prove efficiency of the presented methodology.
