Methodology of integrated analysis and assessment of the level of economic security of an enterprise

The article presents an applied methodology which uses the combined analytical potential of the indicative, resource-functional and integrated approaches to the expert assessment of the level of economic security of an enterprise. The developed methodology is distinguished from the existing ones by aggregating the static and dynamic characteristics of economic security of an enterprise into a single estimated indicator in the context of the main functional components. The static component of the assessment is formed by the procedures for substantiating the system of individual indicators, considering the industry characteristics of an enterprise and their standardization to the reference (industry and region average) levels. The dynamic component is provided by the procedure of weighing the normalized values of indicators relevant to their growth rates. The proposed approach allows to form a quantitative assessment of the current state of economic security of an enterprise based on the analysis in compliance with the average industry parameters, to qualitatively interpret the results obtained in the context of the selected types, and to present a reasoned forecast of the development of the situation in the future, considering the direction and rate of change of the estimated indicators.
