Survey methodology of the paleogeographic and geographic sites of the regional natural heritage

The article presents an overview of the survey methodology for paleogeographic and geographical natural heritage sites, based on the assessment of the criteria for compliance with UNESCO Geoparks. The methodology includes five main assessment units (geology and landscape, structure and model of management, interpretation and education in the field of environmental protection, geo-tourism, sustainable development at the regional level) and presents an integrated interdisciplinary approach to discuss regional characteristics in the context of thepaleogeographic and geographical heritage of international significance. As a result, a systematic assessment of the potential of the territory is formed, presenting the natural heritage sites in conjunction with the cultural, educational and economic potential, and forming development vectors.
