Method for assessing the effective functioning of an industrial enterprise

The formation of the system of effective functioning of industrial enterprises is a priority direction of modern development of the national economy. In turn, the main principle of the formation of such a system is the creation of methods for managing the effective functioning, which require methods for assessing the current state of industrial enterprises. At the bottom of all methods for assessing the effective functioning lie the techniques of the analysis of the activities of an economic entity, based on the calculation of indicators and coefficients. At present, the most effective method for assessing the effective functioning of an industrial enterprise is the assessment on the basis of complex indicators. The article presents the method for assessing the effective functioning of an industrial enterprise, based on the construction of composite indices of the most significant components of effective functioning of an enterprise, and namely the production, technological, economic, ecological, social and innovation components. The order of stages of the method for assessing the effective functioning of an industrial enterprise is given, the algorithm for determining of the level of its functioning is offered. The proposed method for assessing the effective functioning of an enterprise allows not only to formulate conclusions about the current level of functioning of industrial enterprises, but also to analyze their activities in the context of all components of the effective functioning. The main conclusions are drawn by comparing the obtained final index with the presented interval scale for assessing the level of effective functioning. Thus, the assessment of the current level of functioning of an enterprise can be determined as inefficient, relatively inefficient, relatively effective and effective. The assessment based on the final index construction of effective functioning makes it possible to define the level of development of an industrial enterprise even when partial indicators are calculated without being compared, which contributes to the objectivity of the assessment as a whole.
