Methods of evaluating the effectiveness of the Russian national payment system’s perfomance: theoretical issues

In this article the authors gave a critical analysis of Russian and foreign methods of evaluating the efficiency of the Russian national payment system. The reasons for analyzing the national payment system’s effectiveness are both to highlight its weaknesses and to find new ways for further development of its component parts and whole system too. The authors made an attempt to generate theoretical base for own estimate procedure of the national payment system’s efficiency, defining quantitative and qualitative indicators.
