Innovative directions for the development of professional educational organizations (PEO) require from them significant personnel, resource and methodological training. It is important, that when the regional innovation platform (RIP) is launched, not only methods for assessing the effectiveness of the site itself are developed, but also new forms of work with other criteria and indicators are proposed and developed. For example, the experience, in which PEO offers its own methodology for assessing the competencies formed in students during the implementation of the RIP direction, could be interesting. Such practices are now being actively launched in many regions and replicated as methodological best practices. In this regard, “Chelyabinsk State College of food and trade industry” also has the opportunity to demonstrate some approaches in understanding this issue. A methodology for evaluating general cultural competence 11 is proposed for consideration, which is planned to be implemented precisely within the framework of business-oriented training.
