In this article, a new method for estimating the residual life of the linings of high-temperature units is proposed. The proposed method allows not only to increase the efficiency of the equipment and reduce operating costs, but also to reduce the likelihood of an accident of high-temperature units. The analysis shows that the operation stage occupies a key place in the life cycle of high-temperature units. The calculation of the residual life is carried out taking into account the influence of the operating parameters during the operation of the unit: thermal stresses, the maximum heating temperature of the refractory lining and the strength of the refractory materials used. These technological parameters were selected after analyzing the operation of ferroalloy casting ladles. Measuring the operating parameters on the operating equipment allows you to assess the remaining life on-line, which allows you to make adjustments to the operation of existing equipment. The assessment of the residual life of the lining of the casting ladle of ferroalloy production showed compliance with the actual number of melts that the lining of the ladle worked out, which indicates the adequacy of the presented methodology.
