The author reveals specific features of computer programs and databases as objects of evaluation. The absence of complex methods, taking into account these features and applicable for the evaluation of computer programs and databases, is indicated. The amended and adapted methodology for assessing the value of the assets under consideration is presented. The ways of further improvement of the presented methods are proposed.
