Demand forecasting method for “Mall” LLC

In this article authors present practical recommendations and theoretical developments that are used for demand forecasting in a retail grocery chain “MALL” LLC, Chelyabinsk region, Russia. This recommendations are based on quantitate and qualitative analysis of the results of practical implementation of a large number of existing forecasting methods and approaches, as well as their realisation in corresponding software packages. Authors develop a new method to improve demand recovery for high turnover and short shelf life items on certain hours.
