Technique of training skillful biathlonists using the device of artificial hypoxia

The article considers the problem of using non-traditional means and methods of training in order to increase the effectiveness of competitive activities of skillful athletes. The authors deal with the possibility of increasing the effectiveness of biathlon training throughout the usage of the artificial hypoxia device. The article provides the results of experimental approbation of the technique implementing the use of modernized technical and innovative scientific tools, specific methods based on the use of the device of normobaric hypoxia (the respiration simulator «Karbonik» designed by professor V.P. Kulikov) and traditional methods of training athletes in biathlon. The conclusion is based on the results of the pedagogical experiment, the achieved level of hypoxic action of the artificial hypoxic device significantly improves the working capacity and functional capabilities of biathlonists, it improves the effectiveness of their training and also improves the results of competitive activities of athletes.
