Nootropics, as drugs, are perspective for the correction of cognitive activity abnormality. Their impact on the metabolic processes can be estimated by means of biochemical tests including the characteristic of peptidergical system activity. Such investigations can contribute to detection of possible chemical mechanism of these drugs action. Biochemical tests can also become the basis for the further advanced experimental and clinical research and evaluation of the drugs’ capacity and the evaluation of the new drugs for the complex pharmacotherapy and pharmacological prophylaxis of the various diseases including the neurological ones.
