The article considers the theoretical and methodological foundations of the implementation of a rational approach from the point of view of the need to ensure the career growth of management subjects in modern conditions. In the process of carrying out scientific research, the author compiled a comparative characteristic of approaches to rational management of a professional career in the conditions of an innovative economy to optimize the process of making appropriate managerial decisions.
