Studying social responsibility: methodological approaches

The article is focused on studying the methodology of social responsi- bility. The article substantiates such approaches to studying social re- sponsibility, as a dialectical, systematic, activity, essential, informative, and historical. Their identification is the aim of this work. Freedom and necessity are the key categories in analyzing social responsibility from the dialectical approach perspective. They are represented by the philosophical foundation of the disclosure of its essence, development, place and role in reducing social tension in contemporary Russian society. In the article social responsibility, its manifestation and realization in life appears a multifaceted and multidimensional social phenomenon, in another words, is the system, integrity. The author proceeds from the understanding of integrity as an integrated aggregate and applies this concept to social responsibility as a system that has integrty. A systematic approach is used as a research tool. Applying a systematic approach to the studying social responsibility has helped to reveal domestic laws resulted in qualitative features of the research object. The author introduces a mechanism that helps to reveal integrity that inherent to the object of study. This mechanism is an activity taken as an explaining category. Because in the light of the activity structure (in its various aspects), the way to a holistic vision of social responsibility is opened and the opportunity to give a generalized explanation of its various parties from the common theoretical standpoint is created. The author starts from the fact that social responsibility is a historical phenomenon. Social responsibility is a special historical social reality, having its spatitemporal coordinates. It characteriz- es a certain stage in the progressive development of society, which caused the application of the historical approach. According to the author, using the essential approach to the studying social responsibility will contribute to a comprehensive, systematic, and historically disclosure of the content of socially responsible relationships from the standpoint of activity essence of responsibility.
