Methodological problems of modern economic research

The article considers methodological problems of modern economic research, reveals the elements of economic methodology. It studies the problem of scientific paradigms changing and identifies priorities of modern economic research. A special attention is paid to the analysis of the main objectives and tasks of the economic science methodology. It includes a study of the economic science basic methods by its reference with methodology. The work provides the analysis of the main paradigms that existed in the history of economic thought and the removal of the main stages of economic studies. The authors consider the problem of truth in economic science. They research the place and value of economic methodology in the overall methodology of natural and social sciences, taking into account the impact of the methodology of other sciences on economic methodology, and the effect of the latter on the methodology of other fields of knowledge. The study of the basic philosophical standards and ideals of economic science is provided in the article.
