Methods and practices of mentoring in the education of patriotically oriented youth

The article is devoted to the study of the role of mentoring as an effective tool for the formation of patriotic values in students of professional educational organizations. Using the example of the regional innovation platform of the Kartalinsky Multidisciplinary Technical School, the authors analyze modern challenges and methodological gaps in the system of patriotic education, such as the lack of a common understanding of patriotic values and insufficient study of the mentoring potential. The work presents an innovative mentoring model that includes three key components: regulatory and legal support, organizational and methodological support, and practical implementation. Particular attention is paid to the following methods of patriotic education - personal example, historical and cultural continuity and social involvement, which were tested within the framework of the Memory Watch project, the Patriot student center and the International Youth Forum. The empirical part of the study is based on the diagnostics of 683 students, which revealed the levels of formation of patriotic values according to cognitive, value-motivational and behavioral criteria. The results showed a significant gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application, which emphasizes the need to modernize educational approaches. The practical significance of the study lies in the development of a reproducible mentoring model that can be adapted for other educational organizations. The article also offers recommendations for improving the patriotic education system, including a differentiated approach and the creation of individual educational routes. The results confirm the effectiveness of mentoring in the formation of a civic position. The materials of the work are valuable for teachers, researchers and organizers of the educational process, focused on the formation of civic identity and patriotic values among young people in the context of modern socio-cultural transformations.
