Studied in this work are the methods and means of reducing the friction moment in the assembly for supporting the steering engine for the rocket booster “Souz”. The main tribological assemblies in the support were revealed and their influence on the total frictional moment was assessed. The ways and phases of reducing friction in the rotating units were determined.
