The article defines the basic principles and simplest methods for locating the places of arrival of test objects in given areas of the earth's surface, gives a comparative assessment of the seismic location method, considers the main physical factors that arise during testing that determine the measurement process, as well as the circumstances accompanying the location process with an assessment of their influence on the accuracy of the final result.
