The market of consumer goods and services is a complex socio-economic system and forms the basis for the formation and development of the commodity market as a whole. It is on the consumer market that the interests of consumers, commodity producers and trade are combined. Among the most important issues of consumer market research are the principles of the balance of supply and demand, which can vary both in the spatial state and in time. These include: changes in the prices of goods; changes in consumer tastes; expectations of future price changes or shortage of goods; changes in market incomes; increase in equity in the distribution of income; changes in the number and composition of the population, changes in the prices of factors of production; changes in the economic policy of the state; discovery of new sources of raw materials or depletion of existing ones; appearance in the field of new firms and many others. Analysis of the results of the socio-economic development of the country in recent years shows a high rate of development of the Azerbaijani economy, including the growth of such important indicators as the gross domestic product and state budget, industrial and agricultural production, real incomes, retail trade, port of goods.
