The article reveals the theoretical foundations of the concept of career and professional promotion. The methods of career management and professional promotion in the organization are considered. Some career goals for a person are presented, such as: the position held should correspond to the self-esteem of the individual and bring moral satisfaction, working conditions should become an incentive for the development of human capabilities, a person needs to occupy a certain position or have a certain profession, one that allows him to be independent. It was concluded that career management is a part of personnel management that concerns the relationship between employer and employees on the issue of influencing professional and organizational career.
