Children who have seen a doctor about enlarged lymph nodes and lack of results of anti-inflammatory treatment should be examined for HIV infection. When detecting HIV infection, it is necessary to exclude the tuberculous nature of enlarged peripheral and intra-thoracic lymph nodes. For differential diagnosis of lymphadenopathies in HIV-infected patients, it is necessary to conduct an ELISA with tuberculosis antigen in dilutions not only 1: 100, but also 1: 25; 1: 10, which significantly increases the probability of correctly identifying the cause of lymphadenopathy. The clinic of lymphadenopathy is directly dependent on the content of CD - 4. To verify the tuberculosis etiology of lymphadenopathies, it is necessary to use a Diaskintest, which in a larger percentage of cases gives a positive result. In children and adolescents with a cough with sputum, bacteriological and especially PCR research increases the chance not only to identify mycobacteria, but also to determine the presence of drug resistance in a short time, therefore it will allow you to start adequate therapy.
