Interdisciplinary analysis of the reading process as a theoretic basis for searching the resources encouraging readers’ activity

The article discusses the problem of people，s low engagement in reading. The concept o^ «reading» in various liberal arts is examined. The author considers such aspects of reading as psychological, therapeutic, cultural, cognitive and educational, which leads to finding additional resources for encouragement of readers， activity.
