International economic integration: retrospective analysis of theoretical concepts

The article discusses the genesis and evolution of the theoretical concepts of international economic integration. This article is focused primarily on the systematization of the views of leading scholar schools on integration. The main issues in the study of applied aspects of the economic integration are identified. The author presents the main results of the retrospective analysis of theoretical concepts'' development on the causes, nature, purposes, subjects of the international economic integration, as well as the effects of the participation of the national economies in this process.
