International cooperation of St. Petersburg parliament with the sub-regions of BRICS+ members

The aim of the paper is analyzing the state and prospects of St. Petersburg’s international relations in the context of new geopolitical environment. The author engages in the analysis of the international activities of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg with the BRICS+ members. As a result, a comparative analysis of the agreements of the Government and Parliament of St. Petersburg with the states’ sub-regions (cities and municipalities) of the intergovernmental organization is provided, including an overview of the main achievements, areas of cooperation and potentials for development.
