International information classification systems in the system of national scientific sovereignty

The article defines the importance of national adaptation and use of the UDC and DDC in the management of scientific activities; identifies challenges and threats from the foreign system of classification of knowledge for national scientific sovereignty; analyzes the implementation of the German and Ukrainian UDC in relation to the Russian language and history, as well as the regional segment of the library sector; examines the relevance of the UDC in describing the system of modern international relations; specific ways out of the current crisis situation are proposed according to various scenarios: an innovative scenario of an open knowledge economy, a consolidated scenario, a segmented scenario and a centralizing scenario, taking into account the leading role of the Russian State Library in the development of domestic information classification systems.
