The article considers key concepts and approaches applied in the interfaith relations studies, proposed in the behaviorist theory of exchange, as well as formed in the symbolic interactionism. The author claims the interfaith relations is a special kind of social relations, characterized by significant meaning of distinction in the sphere of values, sociocultural universals, world pictures and religious experience. Comparing them with other kinds of social relations, the author comes to the conclusion that in no other kinds of intergroup relations the spiritual values have such great significance as in relations between people belonging to different religions, or different movements within one religion.
