Intermunicipal differences in wages in the region

This article analyzes the dynamics of inter-municipal differences in wages of workers in the region. In the context of urban districts, rural areas, mixed municipal areas, within the boundaries of which there is an urban settlement. The cause-and-effect relationships of these differences are considered. They mainly depend on the structure of the economy, the ratio of urban and rural populations, and investment in production. The purpose of the study is to assess the intermunicipal differentiation of wages using the example of the Republic of Bashkortostan, in order to be able to develop proposals for increasing the efficiency of the function that stimulates it. Measures are proposed to eliminate unjustified differences in wages. They are reform in wages in budgetary organizations, improving the quality of activities of trade union organizations, reducing redistribution processes in the formation of local budgets. The main factor in increasing the level of average monthly wages is the increase in investment in depressed municipalities. With existing technologies, production organization, by increasing the level of investment in fixed capital, population growth, and therefore employment, it is not possible to achieve the desired results. The structure of factors influencing the level of wages in municipalities indicates significant problems in the development of production institutions.
