In the system of economic development of the regions: theoretical and practical approaches

The article substantiates the considerable dependence of economic growth on the degree of involvement of the region’s economy in the interregional relations and the possibility of applying the econometric model of interrelations of interregional trade and investments in the fixed capital with gross regional product, in order to evaluate their contribution to economic development. The article examines the evolution of theoretical principles and approaches to the research of interregional economic cooperation, and highlights qualitative development stages of the interregional cooperation theory.
