Interregional Russia-Brazil connections as a subnational level of Russia-brazil relations

The main purpose of this article is the analysis of interregional Russia-Brazil relations. In this context, the authors give an analysis of the regions of Russia and Brazil, which are most actively involved in this process. Moscow and Saint Petersburg, as well as the Republic of Tatarstan and Sverdlovsk Region, are actively participating in the interregional Russia-Brazil connections. On the part of Brazil, one should mention the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Santa Catarina, Mato Grosso and Goiás. Russia-Brazil interregional visits contribute to the development of the subnational level of cooperation between the two states. The study also reveals perspective directions in the field of interregional cultural cooperation, such as joint projects in the field of culture; study of Russian and Portuguese; theater, cinema and ballet; seminars, discussion clubs. This article also contains summary that conforms to the purposes of the study.
