The mythological basis of the works of Chingiz Aitmatov

This article is an attempt to reveal the folklore basis of the works of the famous writer of world importance Chingiz Aitmatov. In his youth, thanks to his grandmother, he listened to tales and legends associated with his people, later he thoroughly studied these phenomena as a literary genre, the writer wrote about them in his memoirs, they finally captivated his imagination, which later introduced scenes from folklore into the composition of his works, thanks to to which his works became immortal.
