Mythical and poetic value of gold and silver in roman M. Lermontov “The hero of our time”

The aim of the article appears mythological and poetic decoding of the elements of the novel shaped systems that contribute to a deeper and more complete understanding of its conflict and at the same time a means of symbolically generalized identification of his heroes. Determining the semantic volume, which are endowed with the signs of the “gold” and “silver” in the poetics of the novel, establishing them as markers of accessory character to the world of “their” and “foreign” or as the semantic characteristics of the space-time picture of the world created in the novel Indeed, we thus have the opportunity to identify the type of artistic consciousness aspect of the author's relationship to the neomythologism.
