The German migration system: the integration aspect

Germany is one of the world leaders in the number of accepted migrants. A significant part of them are forced migrants, this fact has a historical explanation. The long history of interaction between the receiving society and migrants has led to the development of effective methods for the adaptation/integration of foreigners. The paper examines the legislative innovations in Germany in their connection with social practice, as well as the functions of the main public authorities in the field of migration management. The most successful practices that can be used in the Russian Federation are described. Particular attention is paid to those practices that are aimed at integrating foreign citizens who have important skills for the development of the German economy.
