Migratory processes in the Russian Far East: from supervision to regulation

The article deals with the migratory processes in the Russian Far East viewed as consequences of the direct control over migration in the Soviet epoch. In the post-Soviet period, it has become pressing to find alternate ways of regulating it. Taking the Russian Far East as an example, the author suggests that regulating migration should be considered as exerting a complex influence upon the factors causing the migration processes.
