Migration processes play a key role in contemporary relations between the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Rwanda, significantly impacting political, economic, and social dynamics in Central Africa (CA) and the Great Lakes region. The article examines the main political aspects of migration in Congolese-Rwandan relations, addressing the historical context of migration as one of the causes of conflict and the current migration landscape as a tool of political pressure. The focus is on the key factors influencing migration processes and their consequences for regional security. The analysis explores aspects of migration and ethnopolitical tensions in the context of conflict development and resolution, as well as labour migration as an economic factor contributing to corruption and interstate conflicts. The conclusion highlights the potential consequences of migration, which remains a key source of tension between the DRC and Rwanda and a driver of instability in the region.
