Microorganisms-contaminants in open-air cages of dogs of service breeds and evaluation of efficiency of plan disinfection activities in the cynological city

The article describes the results of a microbiological study of dog cages of service breeds before and after disinfection at the training complex of the cynological faculty of the Perm military institute of the troops of the national guard of the Russian Federation. The analysis revealed a qualitative and quantitative variety of bacteria isolated from the inner surfaces of the enclosures and inventory with the help of elective, differential-diagnostic nutrient media. In the course of the research disinfection measures were carried out with the use of the «ECOCID C», recommended for the processing of veterinary surveillance facilities. The aerosol method of disinfecting used for the treatment of enclosures of the cynological campus proved to be ineffective with respect to the isolated microbial isolates. Studies carried out in the framework of planned activities of the veterinary and sanitary service of the Institute in conjunction with cadets of the cynological faculty have a practical focus. The developed recommendations allow maintaining sanitary and hygienic regime at the cynological campus during current and final disinfection activities and are of great importance in addressing the issues of health and maintenance of the breed of dogs of service breeds in preparation for performing combat missions in the system «official dog» -«specialist- cynologist».
