Microwave radiation of single sunspots according to SSRT and NORH data

No fine structure was detected in the radiation of modes, according to the results of separate study of microwave radiation in the ordinary and extraordinary modes at a wavelength of 5.2 cm. At a wavelength of 1.72 cm, the fine structure was detected in large sunspots and in radiation of the ordinary mode only. A greater amount of statistical data confirms a larger source’s size in the ordinary mode compared with that in the extraordinary mode; this fact is not described by the classical model of the microwave source over a single sunspot.
