Mineral density (MD) of skeletal bones was measured using the roentgen double-energy bone densitometer of «General Electric Medical Systems/Lunar» firm DPX series, NT model, with enCore™2002 program in two groups of women: 1) with the menstrual cycle (MC) unchanged after injury or limb lengthening; 2) with MC absent for 1,5-2 months. MD was measured both throughout the skeleton, and in the spine and the proximal thirds of femurs. In case of MC disorders demineralization was much more.
Osteoporosis, menstrual cycle, fractures, limb lengthening
