Mineral-geochemical properties of solid bitumen in the context of forecast for oil and gas (on the example of Minusinsk intermountain trough)

The geological situation of bitumen manifestations in the Devonian andesite basalts lavas in the Minusinsk intermountain trough has been characterized. The features of chemical and molecular compositions, X-ray diffraction, spectroscopic, thermal and isotope-geochemical properties of natural bitumen are discussed. A conclusion is made about the important role of solid migratory bitumens for forecasting for regional oil and gas potential.
