Materials and methods: From 2015 to 2016, we treated 547 patients with mechanicaljaundice. There were 356 patients with malignant strictures of the bile ducts. From malignantdiseases of the gastro-pancreatic-duodenal zone, we most often deal with pancreatic head tumors-163, metastases in the lymph nodes of the hepatic-duodenum ligament in 47 patients, tumors ofthe proximal bile ducts in 44, distal bile ducts in 32, gall bladder cancer in 29 patients, duodenalpapilla cancer - 27; primary liver cancer in 12 cases, cancer of duodenum in 2 cases. The average age of the patients was 77 years, the most common being 83 years, ranging from 29 to 96. The mean level of bilirubin at the time of admission was -311 μmol/l, ranging from 54 to 648 mmol/l. 503 minimally invasive interventions were performedin 356 patients: percutaneous transhepatic cholangiostomies 313, cholecystostomy 2,transcutaneous trepan biopsies of neoplasms 134, intraluminal biopsies 20, ante- andretrograde stenting of the bile ducts 34.
