Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation, EC, IMF - annual forecasts accuracy analysis of Russia's GDP growth rates from 2008 to 2020

The article analyzes the adequacy and accuracy of forecasts for Russia's GDP growth rates by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund. To do this, we collected actual data on GDP at current prices from 2007 to 2020, calculated the growth rate, and collected data from the forecasts of these organizations. Based on the analysis, the forecast model of the Ministry of Economic Development is recognized as adequate, but the most accurate, albeit with a positive autocorrelation of errors, are the forecasts from the European Commission.
