Peacekeeping function of sport

On the basis of the analysis of scientific literature and the periodicals in the article the implementation this article reveals one of the most important functions of sport - peacekeeping. Also the historical and cultural context of the interrelationship between sport and politics is explored, including the example of the Olympic Games, and it was clarified how the peacekeeping function of the sport was being formed.
