World monitoring experience and practice of the statistical service of the European Union in monitoring of education area

The article is devoted to the consideration of the world experience of monitoring and the practice of the eu statistical service. The monitoring of the problems of the education sector at the world level, the use of eurostat data for assessing the problems of the education system in europe are being studied. The article considers the benchmarking method as the main tool for monitoring the education sphere. The author of the article points out the necessity of applying the foreign experience of monitoring the education sphere in the russian federation.
