The article deals with the concept of mergers and acquisitions, presents an analysis of the volume of the global market of mergers and acquisitions. The indicators of mergers and acquisitions of the Russian market for the period 2014-2020 are also analyzed. This article presents aspects of the global M & A market in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. As a result of the study, the main advantages of mergers and acquisitions were identified, and the prospects for the development of the global market of mergers and acquisitions were determined.
