The sacred and the profane in creative practices of contemporary cinema

In the article the author discusses the worldly and sacred in modern cinema, without sharing these concepts. She tries to find bonds uniting them, both in spiritual life and in worldly life. The evidential part is based on the interpretation of N. Dostal's film "Peter on the way to the Kingdom of heaven." The Orthodox discourse in contemporary cinema reflects the public interest in the revival of religion in Russia. This period requires cultural understanding, as it shows the importance of the sacred in the life of modern society.
