The article examines the missionary activities in the Ufa Diocese during the period from 1905 to 1917, which were systematically undertaken by 2 diocesan clergy, 8 district clergy, and 4 ‟national” priests, in addition to active observers engaged in mission affairs and church schools, representatives of the Missionary Committee, and district Orthodox brotherhoods. The focus of this study is placed on the educational efforts spearheaded by Bishop Andrei (Ukhtomsky), who administered the Ufa Diocese from December 22, 1913, to 1923, and directed its missionary endeavors primarily against paganism and Islam. In particular, the establishment of specialized courses is discussed, marking the final phase in the development of a comprehensive missionary system in the Ufa Province. The analysis leads to the conclusion that this religious campaign exhibited an integrated character, encompassing every level of organizational structure from parish to diocese. The findings underscore the multifaceted approach to missionary work during this era, illustrating not only the religious motivations behind these initiatives but also the sociocultural implications and the broader context within which they operated.
