The article examines a multi-level complex of computer-mathematical models developed by the authors, which can be used in the formation and implementation of a medium-term strategy for the development of the machine tool industry. The complex reflects five levels of describing the state of the industry: mini-economic (intra-company processes), microeconomic (functioning of enterprises and organizations of the industry), mesoeconomic (functioning of the industry as a system), macroeconomic (interaction of the industry with other divisions of the economy), megaeconomic (accounting for intercountry interactions).
